Engineering Lab

What better way to end a STAAR testing week then by going and exploring in the Cannon Engineering Lab! The kids had a blast being "engineers!" They got to explore, create, and most importantly..... had fun!!!!!

STAAR celebration

Today we went to Heritage Park and had a celebration for taking the STAAR test. We had a picnic lunch and played and played and played! We also took a tour of the Botanical Gardens. Here's a few pics from our day........

Surprise!!!

The children received a surprise this morning from their families and teachers. Before beginning the STAAR test they were presented with "words of encouragement". I loved getting to see their faces, it really made their day. I can't wait to surprise them again tomorrow!!!!!!!

Big Day!

Tuesday and Wednesday will be BIG days in Third grade.  The children will be taking the Math and Reading STAAR test.  I would like to wish all of them good luck!  :)   I am so proud of all of their hard work and I know that they will do a great job on the tests!!!!

Poetry fun!

Today the students had fun using sidewalk chalk to write their poem from memory on the blacktop for others to read!

Mid month reminders

April 17 - 3 week progress reports-please sign and return
April 23 - STAAR math test (closed campus, no visitors - don't forget a sack lunch)
April 24 - STAAR reading test (closed campus, no visitors - don't forget a sack lunch)
April 26 - walking field trip to Heritage park - bring a sack lunch
April 30 - Autism awareness day - wear blue from head to toe!
