I wanted to let everyone know that Ms. Nelson will be out this week due to a family emergency.  If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me.  Starting on Wednesday through Friday I will also be out for training.  I will however be checking my email those days.  Thank you!

Health & Wellness Expo

Free Health & Wellness Expo

 

Grapevine Colleyville ISD and the Baylor Grapevine Regional Medical Center present Sign Up Saturday, a FREE health and wellness expo for our community. The expo will provide families the opportunity to register for physically active programs and health initiatives. The event will also include free vision, hearing and fitness screenings for children along with health and safety education. Cash incentives are given to schools in attendance.

Inference

Who doesn't love a good game?  This week the children have been having so much fun playing the game Hedbanz during Daily 5.  It is a great game to use for inferencing!  And from the amount of laughs and screams that I have heard, I would say it's a game worth getting!

Reading Homework

Starting on Monday, January 13th the children will bring home a reading homework page each week on Monday's.  The homework consists of a reading passage and questions and will be due on Wednesday.  We are starting to prepare the children for questions that they will see on the STAAR test in April.
Also remember that we have asked the children to be reading for 30 minutes each night.  We are working on building up stamina.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call or email me.  Thanks for your help!
